Born in the south of Germany to a vietnamese family, Chopstick aka Chi-Thien Nguyen looks at a multinational social background. But it´s not only his upbringing that formed his musical vision: 10 years of classical piano lessons, 3 years of spanish guitar lessons, 2 years of music harmony lesson meet 10 years of studio skills and 4 years of turntable experience. This forms the basis of Chopstick´s distinctive tracks – and therefor it´s no surprise that artists such as Madonna, Britney Spears, LL Cool J, Xzibit, Deep Dish, Miss Kittin and Sister Sledge asked for his remixing skills.

His DJ-Sets present his musical preferences ranging from Minimal and Tech-House to Deep-House and freaked out audiences throughout Australia, Asia, South America, North America and Europe.

His expertise as an A&R helped him (together with Johnjon) build up an run his first label Criminal Records in 2005. After sheding his teeth with Criminal Records he once again headed for new shores
and landed in Hamburg: Together with Johnjon and André Stubbs he formed Baalsaal: Monthly clubnights bringing friends of Criminal Records (hence Criminal & Friends) to play André Stubbs club Baalsaal not only enriched Hamburg´s club scene but also brought the label a worldwide reputation as a quality source for underground electronic music.

Chopstick newest imprint Suol brings old Baalsaal friends (Fritz Kalkbrenner, Johnjon, Penner & Mudder) in a new fresh environment. Looking at Chopstick´s history it for sure will set dancefloors on fire.

Denis The Menace is known for setting worldwide dancefloors on fire. But it´s not only the crowds who are digging his sound – his sought after for his skills by bigtime producers and label owners such as Roger Sanchez, Erick Morillo, Tiesto, Steve Angelo and many more. His releases are featured on such renowned labels such as Subliminal, CR2, Lowered Recordings, Axtone and Ministry of Sound.

Besides his busy DJ-touring schedule he sustains a constant stream of productions and remixes: Britney Spears and Madonna couldn´t resist Denis´ special treatment for their tune “Me against the music”. He wrote and produced Dante Thomas´ single “Get it on”, which became a European Top20 chart hit. But producing/remixing Pop-hits is just one side of the coin: Massive house tracks such as “Do you really” (Cr2) or “Caracao” became global anthems played from Ibiza to Miami.

In 2008 Denis started collaborating with another big name in House: Bigworld. Their united powers resulted in such bangers as “Fired Up“, „Going Back To My Roots“, „Show Me A Reason“ and „Liftin Me Up“. Beyond that he has a long standing musical partnership with his childhood friend Taan Newjam.

Altough Denis The Menace is about 20 years into the DJ-Business there is no sign of taking things slow. If you get a chance to catch him playing, prepare to let loose!

Originally hailing from Rio de Janeiro, Singer Fernanda Brandao spent several years in Berlin as well as in the music business. After different successful pop projects she now is ready to play the game under her own rules and with Taan Newjam she found a partner in crime. He delivers the funky Beats to her fresh rapping and singing skills. Her newly-won self-confidence comes alive in her sexy stage show: Bringing another hot flavor to the mixture of Brazilian Funk and Electro, Fernanda and her crew perform some of the hottest Nu-Burlesque-Dancing the world has seen so far.

Fresh, cheerful and open-minded with a subtle taste of filth and urban lifestyle – that’s House music the way NHAN SOLO loves it. A sound reminiscent of Dirty Bird, KeineMusik, Made To Play and his favourite label Exploited Records.

This influences are compiled in NHAN`s powerful, diverse but yet coherent and knee-deep house track Fortune Cookie. The single includes great remixes by the well known Acidkids, Monkey Safari and Golden Bug and the promising Australian newcomer-of-the-year Yolanda Be Cool. The whole audiovisual package is completed with a stylish video by esteemed French music video director Damien Vignaux alias “Elroy“, who recently brought DatA’s “Rapture“ to life.

As a DJ, NHAN mixes tech, deep and dirty house tunes from Berlin and various other hot spots from all over the globe: He loves to incorporate Asian, African and tropical grooves into vibrant, fluent sets without losing sight of his audience. Crowds across Europe followed him through long, celebrated nights – whether in their best suits in classy environments or in shirts at cool underground venues.

TAAN „DRAGONMAN“ NEWJAM is a German-Asian multi-instrumentalist and songwriter/producer/DJ who lives and works in Berlin.

His debut album ACTIONDISCO will be released in early summer 2010 under the newly-formed label URBASIAN Music. „ACTIONDISCO“ delivers high energy music; very danceable electronic clubtunes combining elements of House, Hip-Hop, Disco, Funk and Electro.

His first single „DISCO GUY“, a Disco-House banger, features remixes by artists/DJ heavy-weights such as BEN MONO (Compost Rec.), BASS ILL EURO (Pitbull) and DENIS THE MENACE (Subliminal USA).

About TAAN NEWJAM:
Most notably, Taan was nominated for a Grammy in 2004 for the song “Lipstick” by Alejandra Guzman (BMG) which he co-wrote with Desmond Child. He also successfully wrote, produced/remixed American and European superstars such as: B2K & P.Diddy, Britney Spears & Madonna, Lil Jon Feat. As always we opened our fortune cookies after lunch, but instead of some mind-boggling prophecies we got a real outlook into the future – and we of course want to share it. Nhan Solo´s first single for Urbasian Music FORTUNE COOKIE will be released June 11^th and comes with a tremendous audiovisual package. The well known Acidkids, Monkeysafari and Golden Bug as well as newcomer-of-the-year Yolanda Be Cool provide hot remixes and French music director Damien elr°y Vignaux is responsible for one of the craziest videos you´ll see this year.

Created by artist Stefan Heuser and Elke Volk, the Stiletto Mafia is a virtual photo narrative leaving its complete story to the fantasy of the viewer. Alongside fine gentlemen such as Taan Newjam, Smiley Baldwin, Patrice Bouedibela, Marcus Trojan and Till Harter, beautiful women commit crimes of excess for the greater good: Fernanda Brandao, Jenny Doll and Tina Schürmann are potrayed in comic book shots, showing the dark and dense side of Berlin with their strong contrasts in lighting immediately evoking film Noir-like sceneries.

The greater good, the protagonist of the Stiletto Mafia are fighting for, is equally present in reality: All participants work for free and the proceedings are donated to the Arche Children´s Project.

This is exactly what Chopstick (Suol) and Till von Sein (Keine Musik) did -  by rocking the Cookies Club in Berlin. Their set let the crowd freak out and made everybody forget it was only midweek. Their sophisticated Deep House made this Tuesday even better than some Saturdays we spent at other parties.

A new baby is born and the proud parents Chopstick & Johnjon celebrated its arrival with a little family party at the Gallery Lucas Carrieri.

Labelmates Fritz Kalkbrenner and Nils Penner, as well as Zander VT, Axel Bartsch and Trickski welcomed the newborn with relaxed sets. For this special occasion they dug deep into their record collections and delivered relaxed Rare-Grooves you surely won´t get to hear at a regular gig.

While the first floor bumped on a hot mixture of Hip Hop and House presented by SCHOWI (Bass ill Euro/Yum Yum/Berlin), CHROME (Yum Yum/Munich) and MIXWELL (The Hits/Hamburg) the second floor was grooving to the sets of Urbasian´s own TAAN NEWJAM and NHAN SOLO.
