NHAN SOLO´s second release “Fortune Cookie” exemplifies a musical direction that his recent dj sets already indicated: a deeper shade of House, showing heavy UK influences. The single features remixes by superhip dance artists such as Acidkids (Dim Mak), Yolanda Be Cool (Sweat It Out), Monkey Safari and Golden Bug (Gomma) and was produced in collaboration with Taan Newjam. French music director Damien elr°y Vignaux is responsible for the accompanying video – one of the craziest things you´ll see this year.

As always we opened our fortune cookies after lunch, but instead of some mind-boggling prophecies we got a real outlook into the future – and we of course want to share it. Nhan Solo´s first single for Urbasian Music FORTUNE COOKIE will be released June 11^th and comes with a tremendous audiovisual package. The well known Acidkids, Monkeysafari and Golden Bug as well as newcomer-of-the-year Yolanda Be Cool provide hot remixes and French music director Damien elr°y Vignaux is responsible for one of the craziest videos you´ll see this year.

A busy schedule is nothing new to Nhan Solo. After a little break from the recent Nhan & Taan gigs (find some recaps here), he found himself on a flight to Istanbul. Showing no signs of exhaustion, he rocked the cLUB WTF!? big time. As you can see the two electro monks started the western new year with lots of love for the ladies – and they got some love back from them. They not only spread joy, happiness and enlightment but also their sticker and trademark ricehats – and they instantly found new friends.

Their numerous missions led Nhan & Taan to almost every corner in the Land of the rising sun. One of their recent duties brought them to Kiev. The Tosho Shop & Bard assigned the Ricehat Brothers with a delicate mission in the cold east.  Being trained in the hardest monastry in the south east, managing the Ukranian cold didnt´t get in the way of fulfilling their order.

We sent out Urbasian´s own ambassador of House, Nhan Solo, to bring one important message to Stuttgart: House is the answer. Nhan & Taan on a secret mission: In a not to be told location in Berlin the two Electro-Monks spread their musical wisdom to an exclusive crowd. Starting the evening with some musical treasures, they brought with them from their last duty, they just got straight into a blistering live set.

Although everything happened in utmost secrecy, we were able to secure some footage and even a little video of this night.

Freshly trained from a bootcamp in the Himalayan mountains, Nhan & Taan pooled forces to bring their musical wisdom to the western hemisphere. As it is supposed for real Ricehat Brothers, they fulfilled their mission back to back and the result was an almost five hour long lession in the art of House.

The roof of the Rodeo Club in Berlin was almost set on fire as their iron fists dropped one hot tune after the other …

Our favourite street-fashion brand WeSC celebrated their show at Bread and Butter with a furious party at the Villa, Berlin.
While the first floor bumped on a hot mixture of Hip Hop and House presented by SCHOWI (Bass ill Euro/Yum Yum/Berlin), CHROME (Yum Yum/Munich) and MIXWELL (The Hits/Hamburg) the second floor was grooving to the sets of Urbasian´s own TAAN NEWJAM and NHAN SOLO.
